If you peek at the sidebar on our blog, you’ll see that part of “Our Web Presence” is The Reading Room. We’re proud of this database of books because it totally produced all in-house. Connie Fillinger and Deb Madigan were the Browsing Librarians here at the time and between the two of them, they came up with the idea that became The Reading Room. The first version was a shoebox of cards with short summaries and opinions but as with all good resources, this one grew and changed into the online database we know and love today.
As a group we try to add books we’ve read –on our own time!– into The Reading Room every week. You can check our latest additions by choosing the box on the left-hand side of The Reading Room labeled “Latest Editions.” Or you can check back on our blog where I will be posting the list of titles entered over the past week.
