Your Library Staff at Home -So Much Doing! (sort of)

I’m pretty sure I’ve never spent this much “quality time” inside my house. Ever. And it’s almost impossible not to see all the half-finished, and some not even started, projects I’ve been meaning to do -once I had some extra time. But it’s so hard to focus! I’ve made progress on some work projects and a little less progress on some personal projects, and I can tell you so much more about how the State of Ohio works thanks to the Governor’s daily briefings. And you know what? I’m going to say it’s okay if I don’t wind up with queen-sized quilt that I made from fabric scraps I found in my crafting stash, or fluent in Italian, or knowing how to juggle! Of course, if I *do* learn some cool new skill… that’s okay too! (I’m looking at you pickled carrots, and you too watercolors!)

While I paint my soothing watercolors or pickle those carrots (once I get all the ingredients), I’ll be listening to some old-school, Newbery Award winning books like: The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George or Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan. Or maybe I’ll hang our with Claire while she Gourmet Makes some high-end Reese’s Cups (while I snack on my Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs -heh!)

Whatever you wind up doing this week? (Or not doing this week?) Be kind to yourself -things are tough and you can only do what you can do, okay?

If you’re in the position to help, please consider the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Feeding America, or donate blood through the American Red Cross (FYI for safety -blood donations are by appointment only).

Stay home, stay safe! #InThisTogether
