Did everyone have a holly, jolly Christmas time? Were Santa and his elves good to you all? Did you watch for the Big Guy’s arrival on the NORAD Santa tracker? Me too! Did you know how it that all got started? Why not listen to Col. Harry Shoup’s children talk about their memories as well as read the story on NPR’s website. Such a sweet story -and I’m so glad the Colonel was a good sport! And now we can all focus on New Year’s Resolutions… I think one of my resolutions will be to read more (tee hee!) and if you want to join me in the attempt, why not start with one of these:
Killer Instinct by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Not Taco Bell Material by Adam Carolla
Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami
And so, in the this last Latest Additions of the year I’d like to say, “Thank you!” to the departing year 2014, for all the good stuff that has happened -we’ll forget the bad stuff, okay?- and “Welcome 2015!” as we look forward to all the good stuff that is surely about to happen!!
Happy New Year everyone!
