After today? Only three more full days before we can celebrate saying, “It’s Spring!” I’m pretty excited about it -if you couldn’t tell. In the meantime? Let’s celebrate St. Patrick’s Day -as authentically as possible? I had no idea how off-kilter some of the food traditions seem to have become and was equally interested to learn more about the actual historical origins of the day. I don’t know that I’ll get to it today, but I’m pretty interested in trying out the Irish Brown Soda Bread recipe. Or if you get to it first, and want to drop off a taste or two? I’d be happy to try any of the many options being offered and let you know what I think… I’m so philanthropic that way! And to keep with that very generous vibe? I’m now going to share some titles that have recently been added to The Reading Room! Or could it just be the luck of the Irish on your side? Hmm… I guess you’ll have to decide for yourself:

The Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson
Mrs. Lincoln’s Rival by Jennifer Chiaverini
Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn
Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

Enjoy!
