Latest Additions

I’m back! (You remember, right? I went to Philadelphia for ALA Midwinter Conference?) And after three days of discussion, the Notable Books Council came up with “a list of 25  very good, very readable and, at times, very important fiction, nonfiction and poetry books for the adult reader.” I think it’s a pretty good list -please check it out if you get the chance! And why not? Now that the Super Bowl is over, what else is there to do but read? (P.S. Crazy game, no?! My recap: Poor Broncos, Go Seahawks, and Love Bruno Mars!) So you’ve got the list of 2014 Notable Books to keep you busy -but now I’m going to add a couple of books that have recently been added to The Reading Room! Bonanza!

Someone by Alice McDermott
Shadow of the Night by Deborah Harkness
Freud’s Mistress by Jennifer Kaufman and Karen Mack
The Sisters Weiss by Naomi Ragen
Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst

What? Do I hear cries of “enough!”? Well, don’t worry. I’ll leave you to read these 30+ books for the week -and I’ll see you back here next Monday!

Enjoy!
