imagesAugust has rolled in but it just doesn’t feel like August because it’s been so darn cold. I miss the warm nights, but, on the other hand, they are good for bonfires and movie watching. So here are a few new DVD releases to keep you busy:

Filly Brown  DVD and Blu-Ray: a story about a young hip-hop artist who, when offered a record contract, must choose between her dreams or saving her family.
G.I. Joe: Retaliation DVD and Blu-Ray: The G.I. Joes must once again face their mortal enemy, COBRA, as well as dangerous new threats operating within the government.
Old Dog DVD: a Tibetan film about a young man who decides to sell his family’s mastiff because they are being stolen and sold on the black market for millions to wealthy Chinese. His father, furious when he discovers their dog missing, sets out to buy the dog back.
Admission DVD and Blu-Ray: Tina Fey and Paul Rudd star in this movie about a high school admissions officer.
The Host DVD and Blu-Ray: based on a popular teen novel, this movie is about aliens who have taken over Earth and are using human bodies as hosts.
The Sapphires DVD and Blu-Ray: an Australian hit inspired by a true story about four talented Australian Aboriginal girls who form an all-girl group that goes to Vietnam in 1968 to entertain U.S. troops.
MudDVD and Blu-Ray: Matthew McConaughey stars in this indie film about two boys who find a mysterious man named Mud hiding out on a deserted island in the Mississippi. As he tells them unbelievable stories about how he killed a man, is being chased by bounty hunters and plans to meet up with the love of his life, they agree to help him, but it isn’t long until they discover that his stories have some truth to them.
Political Animals DVD: A mini-series starring Sigourney Weaver about the life of a political family.
Eddie: The Sleepwalking Cannibal DVD: A comedic horror movie about a once famous painter who finds a muse in a sleepwalking cannibal.
Magic Magic  DVD: Michael Cera stars in this psychological drama that takes place in remote Chile,  where a vacationing young woman begins to mentally unravel; meanwhile, her friends ignore her claim until it’s too late.
Antiviral DVD: Syd March sells live viruses from infected celebrities to obsessed fans and is then infected himself with the virus that killed superstar Hannah Geist. Now he has to unravel the mystery surrounding her death to save his own life.
