imagesPlease join us for the Indie Int’l Film Fest next Monday, July 8th at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium for Shun Li and the Poet. It’s about a young Chinese woman who travels to Italy in order make more money and have a better life for her son, but is forced to work as a barmaid to pay off her travel debts. There she meets a fisherman, with whom she shares her love of poetry.

Onto the new DVD and Blu-Ray releases for today:

Identity ThiefDVD and Blu-Ray: we got our copies a little later because of Warner Brothers policy, but now it’s here – the Melissa McCarthy, Jason Bateman comedy about identity theft.
Mental – DVD: Toni Colette, Anthony LaPaglia and Live Shreiber star in this comedy about a man with 5 daughters, who, after his wife has a breakdown, picks up a hitchhiker and hires her as a nanny for his children.
Venus and Serena – DVD: a documentary that delves in the lives of tennis superstars and sisters Venus and Serena Williams.
Constitution U.S.A. with Peter Sagal – DVD: a documentary series that asks if the Constitution can keep pace with modern America.
The House I Live In – DVD: a documentary that looks at the U.S. criminal justice system and outlines the human implications of U.S. drug policy.
56 Up – DVD
