The Cleveland Film Festival is an amazing celebration of all things film held in Cleveland every March. But did you know that this area hosts a bunch of other of film festivals for local cinephiles? These two are in October:
The Chagrin Documentary Film Fest started yesterday, October 3rd and continues through Sunday October 7th. The festival includes filmmaker panel discussions and other daily events and the films are shown around the lovely town of Chagrin Falls.
The Cleveland Jewish FilmFest is another not to miss movie experience held from October 14-28th. Films will be shown at various locations including the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cedar Lee, and the Mandel Jewish Community Center. And here’s a bonus for reading this blog – two of the films that are being shown at the Festival, Free Men and The Day I Saw Your Heart, are also being shown right here at the Library for FREE on October 8th and December 10th as part of our ongoing Indie Int’l Film Festival.
It’s surprising how many film festivals there are in this area – Italian films, sci-fi and animated shorts, oh my! Something for everyone. Check out this list I found from the Cleveland Independent Movie Goer group and go forth and explore.
