It’s a big week for the movie industry; The Toronto Film Festival is in full swing, kicking-off a slew of highly anticipated fall movies, from Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master to The Cloud Atlas. Indiewire is posting reviews of the films (as of this posting, they have 67), so check it out to see how your favorites fare with their reviewers. As of now, it looks like there are a number of interesting films to look forward to.

In the meantime, check out some new DVD releases here at the library:

Girl in Progress: Eva Mendes stars as a single mom who’s having trouble relating to her teenage daughter.
Snow White & the Huntsman: a dark retelling of the Snow White story.
What to Expect When You’re Expecting: a comedy about the ups and downs of pregnancy.
For Greater Glory: Andy Garcia stars in this film about the Cristeros War in Mexico.
Lola Versus: Dumped by her boyfriend, 29 year old Lola goes on a year-long journey of self-discovery.
WWE: The Rock vs. John Cena: for all you wrestling fans out there!
30 Rock: Season 6: Liz Lemon and crew still get laughs in this next to last season.
The Vampire Diaries: Complete 3rd Season: the residents of Mystic Falls, along with some new blood (get it?) return for another season.
The Big Bang Theory: Complete 5th Season: what are Leonard and Sheldon up to this season?
Spartacus, Vengeance: Complete 2nd Season: this series returns with more  sex, violence and gore as a former slave gets his vengeance on.
Terra Nova: The Complete Series: As humanity is about to become extinct, a family is sent back to the past to, hopefully, get it right this time. Produced by none other than Steven Spielberg.

Happy Watching!
